DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY

 

Salt Lake County Service Area #3, (Service Area), will be holding an election on November 3, 2009. This election will be held entirely by mail-in voting authorized under the Utah election code. The Service Area has two trustee positions up for election.

To become a candidate for an elective position with the Service Area, the qualified persons must file a Declaration of Candidacy in person with the Service Area clerk. This may be done at the Service Area office, located at the Snowbird Firestation, entry #4, Snowbird, UT. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interested persons must file between July 1st, through July 15th, 2009.

Candidate qualifications at time of filing are:

Be a U.S. citizen

Be a registered voter within the Service Area boundaries

Be a resident in the Service Area boundaries

This is an elected position and is for a term of 4 years, beginning January 1, 2010.
