BOARD OF TRUSTEE'S
WORK SESSION-MEETING MINUTES
June 12th, 2009
at the Service Area Office, Fire Station #113/Community Center
Snowbird, UT.
PRESENT: Keith Hanson, Gen. Mgr./Treasurer

The work session meeting commenced at 12:00 p.m. Mr. Hanson provided the attending trustees with the following items for discussion.
Trustees were given copies of the May 19th, 2009 board meeting minutes and the May 15th, 2009 work session meeting minutes.
1. The clerk updated the Board on recent election law revisions, which included: Conducting elections strictly by absentee and appointments of candidates without holding an election.
2. Mr. Hanson presented a copy of the draft audit for the 2008 financials to the board of trustees.
3. Mr. Hanson will be presenting Resolution 2009-4-, which sets the 2009 rate of County Service Area taxes to the board at the June 16th, 2009 board meeting.
4. In response to recent customer inquires regarding increasing the discount for paying annually, Mr. Hanson will include an informative paragraph discussing our rate structure in the 2008 Consumer Confidence Report.
5. The water and sewer increase for our customers will be effective on July 1, 2009.
6. Mr. Hanson updated the board on the Town of Alta antimony plant.
7. Mr. Hanson met with Jerry Giles and Jim Baker to discuss the re-vegetation by the Cliff Lodge.
8. The repair on the broken line at The Inn was $5,000.00. This area will be asphalted this week.
9. At the base of Peruvian, Snowbird will be adding another connection to the 8" culinary line which goes to Gad Valley. Mr. Hanson gave Snowbird the specs for this project.
10. Snowbird will be putting in a snowmaking pump station on the Creek Road, just east of the Peruvian base.
11. Policies and Procedures is a work in progress.
12. Pilot testing has begun on the Hellgate Reservoir, using GTO for lead removal. Mr. Hanson updated Ms. Borgione on this due to her recent absences.
After closing the work session meeting, the staff and trustees welcomed Legrand Bitter with the Utah Association of Special Districts. Mr. Bitter will conduct the annual trustee training required by special districts.
